Objectives and context

TERO carried out a feasibility study for a support program on sustainable commodity chains and watershed management, financed by the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and the Fonds Français pour l'Environnement Mondial (FFEM). This program will have a cross-disciplinary approach on sustainable watershed management and will develop the following four components: (1) Support to the development of agroforestry via promotion of the cacao sector; (2) sustainable development of the vetiver sector; (3) capacity building and training in watershed management and (4) program coordination and management.

Services provided

The study allowed the creation of a detailed feasibility document of the “Support program to the sustainable commodity chains in the Southern department”, eligible to the PRCC (AFD) and FFEM funding and which will have to be approved by the project manager after discussion with the stakeholders and other concerned funders, under the form of a NIP and a NEP.
