Objectives and context

TERO carried out a chain and market study and proposed a strategy of commercialization for rice, corn and banana’s products for the Belgian development agency (CTB) in Burundi. This study took part of the PAIOSA program, bringing institutional and operational support to agriculture sector. The main objective of TERO’s intervention was to improve the national and regional markets’ knowledge, and to investigate different strategies of commercialization. To this purpose, the study focused on the knowledge of consumers habits and on actual or potential distribution channels.
