Objectives and context
TERO carried out a support and advice mission on ethical labels and cooperatives strengthening in Madagascar, financed by the German cooperation (GIZ). In an organic pure juice shortage context – and especially pineapple juice - in the global market, Madagascar stands out thanks to its natural and Organic-Certified production. Six local cooperatives, created between 2013 and 2016 with a FIDA program support, supply Havamad, a national juice processing firm. Havamad, beneficiary of the mission, would like to develop an Organic and fair trade Certified pure pineapple juice, strengthening at the same time the young cooperatives dealing with them.
Services provided
