Objectives and context

AFD proposes to bring financial support to cashew chain in Mozambique through its commercial capacities strengthening program (PRCC) TERO was asked by AFD to realize a feasibility study for the formulation of a cashew nut development project on the hedge of a protected area in the north of Mozambique. The project proposal takes into account issues of conservation of natural resources and cashew nut certification as well as interconnection with local processors. A specific component has also been proposed to strengthen the national public cashew institute (INCAJOU) for the development of the sector at the national level.
