Objectives and context
TERO carried out the final evaluation of the ASSTEL (Accès aux services et structuration des éleveurs laitiers) project, implemented in the Dagana Department of North Senegal from 2013 to 2015 by the French NGO GRET, and funded by the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and other donors to an amount of 1.7 millions of euros. The project aimed to enhance the sovereignty of dairy production in the region by improving the local dairy production and transformation capacities and by linking producers and the milk industry.
