TERO has started fair trade certification for cooperatives under SPP label

In September 2017, TERO became an authorized certification entity for the Small Producers’ Symbol (SPP).

This label was launched in 2011 by a Latin-American co-op collective in partnership with committed buyers, in order to value fair trade products from family farming. In discrepancy with the other fair trade labels, SPP is focused on smallholder producers and their organizations. It promotes rural areas development, a diversified agriculture, the respect of the producers and environment, and fosters a better control on market relations for the producers.

TERO will be in charge to ensure SPP certification especially in Africa and Asia, regions of the world where SPP is less developed.
